£1.60 a pint but requires an electronic key so they know that you're not an outsider or someone that runs a uni information website or something. The £1/pint Union is literally less than 1 minute's walk away, however.
Formal Halls provide an opportunity to be cheaply wined and dined each week and the college bops (read cheap alcohol and cheesy themed disco) are the ubiquitous Oxford occassion to drink yourself into oblivion. It really is unbearable if you don't.
A Ball every other year which is affordably priced (2005 -£60) and guaranteed to be a fun college occassion. The theme for 2005 was the ethereal 'Heavenly Ball'.
St Peter's is a very strong sporting college, and whether you are equipped with enthusiasm or (extreme) ability there are many sports teams active at all levels. The college Drama Society consistently produces varied and accomplished am-dram efforts, recent plays include 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and Steven Berkoff's 'East'.

Freshers live in either the large spacious rooms of the Matthews building or the small but cosier rooms of New Block. 2nd years live out unless taking on JCR duties. (mostly elected positions) 3rd years / 4th year finalists live either in the college or the college owned Cambridge Terrace flat. All rooms have ethernet connections and in some of the newer blocks en-suite facilities.
Central Oxford in every sense but more accurately: South East of the centre. Two minutes walk from McDonalds, HMV, Virgin, the Oxford Union and several nightclubs
There is decent provision of both pay and display and some free parking around New Hall Inn Street and George Street.
There are branches of every major UK bank in the city-centre and free ATMs are located directly opposite the college.
There is a subsidised stationary shop situated in the OUSU buildings (close to the Clarendon Centre) for all those back to school goodies!
Branches of Blackwells, Waterstones and Borders, practically on St Peter's doorstep, ensure that almost every book on almost every reading list can be easily purchased or ordered.
St Peter's excels at a diverse range of sports, from Rugby (Cup champions in 2001) to Table Football (reached the European competition. Ectensive grounds and rowing facilties are a short distance away and shared.
St Peter's is one of the most central of all the Oxford colleges, and all university buildings or city amenities can be reached either on foot or by bike. For destinations further afield Oxford is well served by both rail and coach services.
St Peter's has an attractive central quad, but for out of college green-peace Christchurch Meadows are great for walking and can be reached by foot in around ten minutes.
Open 24 hours a day, with 50,000 volumes. Lucky lawyers have the privilege of a separate law library.
Most students bring their own machines to take advantage of superfast ethernet access in every bedroom (though there's strict MP3 download rules). The college hires out terminals to students wanting personal access, and the compuetr rooms provide decent modern equipment for general use.
St Peter's has the usual Oxford system of personal tutors and elected JCR officers appointed to provide personal and academic support within the student community.
