King's Parade Magazine A colour magazine that is mostly conerned with news and features about King's College, although there does seem to be some more general news and articles. The expected sport section at the back as well as a crossword.

One on site bar provides a jolly and sometimes chaotic atmosphere for cheap drinking and general merriment. the bar is open from 12-2pm and 6-8.30pm and has late night opening (8.30-11pm) on Wednessday, Thursday, Friday and Saturaday. A cellar with a small bar and audio equipment is used for a number of events every term, from cheesy 80's nights to Hip Hop. It may also be hired by students.
Nights are put on in the Celler bar, they tend to be quite cramped and sweaty, with cheap drinks and violent cocktails there have been many regretful mourning afters.
Whereas most Cambridge colleges celebrate May week with a May Ball (which actually falls in June), King's has traditionally held a "June Event" - a much more informal version of a May Ball.
A number of different societies are on offer, from the quite thoughtfulness of bridge to film making and a jazz band.
The mens rowing team have done pretty well recently. Although not strictly 'awards' it should be noted that King's College Choir are very sucessful with various concerts, tours and recordings.

There is a variety of accommodation all of it either in or very close to the College. First year sudents are generally located in Keynes building, Tennis Court Road or Market Hostel. Keynes building has ensuite facilities and fairly large rooms. A number of rooms situated above shops on King's Parade are ones to watch out for as they have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Most rooms have TV sockets and internet connections.
Cambridge is a small yet lively place and with its high student population there are endless events and entertainments. Theatres, galleries, museums and cinemas are all close by and there is a plethora of pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants. The river is a very popular place in the summer months where punting and picnics are the order of the day. With all the Colleges providing entertainment, whether it be messy nights in their college venues or more fancy dos it's impossible to be bored!
Very Limited car parking arrangments around the College itself.
All major banks are only a short walk away.
Are improving slowly, all the buildings are very old and have a lot more stairs than lifts.
There is no College shop, but there are many very near by.
This is Cambridge you will be able to find everything and anything you could possibly want!
A fairly sparse fitness room can be found on the College premises and is open from a worm catching 7am, it closes at 9pm. There are two squash courts next to kings College school in West Road and the College sports ground is about a mile away, as is the boathouse. The College also owns five canoes-always at hand for some watery adventures.
None really. Most places are easily walked to, many students have bikes. There is a train station for those who want to move further a field.
Fellows' Garden is available for use by all members of the College. A croquet set can be borrowed from the lodge and proves popular in the summer. Cambrige is a very beautiful and 'leafy' place with numerous green spots, plus of course the bluey/green of the river with all its serious rowing competition and punting antics.
Kings library has been in continuous existence since the foundation of the college in 1441. Consquently it houses an incredible archive of records and documents, some items are very beautuiful (illuminations etc)and are certainly worth a look. Of course the library also serves the academic needs of current students with over 130000 texts.
Rowe Music library is above the main library on the second floor and is considered one of the most important college music libraries in Cambridge.
The majority of computers can be found in the Turing Room (Networked PCs). The facilities aren't bad but most students seem to have their own.
