The JCR is increasing it's level of activity and should be able to provide further support and services in the near future.

An underground, medieval bar is where it all happens. It's not very big but it is friendly. There is a juke box so the music is pretty varied. It's generally used for relaxing after tedious hours of lectures. Probably the best reason for being there though is Terry's teas. There can be no better way to spend an afternoon.
There are functions every fortnight in the bar and some live music. Although the function space is small and not really designed for late night discos everyone makes a good effort and 'bops' are well attended.
One big black tie ball per year. Save up your pennies, this is a pricey one.

The college is strong sports wise and provides quite a few members of university teams.

There is a mix of modern and ancient accommodation, all rooms have basic facilities though. There are some study bedrooms, where you have everything in one room and some shared flats. In these you usually have your own bedroom but share a study with someone else. The college assigns rooms to first years. Food is provided three times a day and is of a questionable quality. You can choose to eat formally and have a full sit down dinner with staff on the top table or just chow down with all the other scummers. The formal dinner requires you to dress correctly though, i.e gowns required.

There are some decent facilities at Exeter. Pitches and courts for everything and a well stocked boat house, the oldest one in the world. There is also a small gym on site.

The library is right in the middle of the college and has around 35 000 books on open shelves with a further 25 000 locked safely away. There are good opening hours and three reading rooms with pleasant views for all that staring into space that you will be doing.
There are 14 machines available for student use in a computer room. This is open 24hrs. Most rooms are connected to the college network so if you have your own machine and modem you can plug it in. A support network is in place to deal with any problems.
There are a doctor and nurse available on site, for information on other facilities see the main university guide.
