- Bars:
- £1.60 a pint but requires an electronic key so they know that you're not an outsider or someone that runs a uni information website or something. The £1/pint Union is literally less than 1 minute's walk away, however.
|
- Functions:
- Formal Halls provide an opportunity to be cheaply wined and dined each week and the college bops (read cheap alcohol and cheesy themed disco) are the ubiquitous Oxford occassion to drink yourself into oblivion. It really is unbearable if you don't.
|
- Major Social Events:
- A Ball every other year which is affordably priced (2005 -£60) and guaranteed to be a fun college occassion. The theme for 2005 was the ethereal 'Heavenly Ball'.
|
- Clubs & Societies:
- St Peter's is a very strong sporting college, and whether you are equipped with enthusiasm or (extreme) ability there are many sports teams active at all levels.
The college Drama Society consistently produces varied and accomplished am-dram efforts, recent plays include 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and Steven Berkoff's 'East'.
