Accommodation Details:
Everyone is housed in the college or in the nearby modern Abingdon House and Warnock House blocks, making for a friendly and close environment. Rooms are reasonably sized but quite varied, it's luck of the draw on allocation. There are formal meals every day.
Libraries:
The library at Hertford has 40 000 volumes. Not a bad number. Doesn't really matter though as the Bodleian Library is close.
Computing:
16 machines with 24hr access. Bring your own equipment if you can.
Sports:
There is a multi-gym and squash courts. The boat house is not far away. For a range of other facilities see the main university guide.
Bars:
The bar and Baring Room, named after the man to whom the college owes its existence. Functions are very very popular and attract many students from other colleges. The bar is entirely student-run and thus a bit more friendly than some others. There is also a cafeteria and a brand new coffee bar.
Functions:
Saturday night is the regular 'bop' night and is very popular. Along with other functions, music and drama are very strong so performances are common.
Major Social Events:
The year's main social event takes the form of a boat party on the Thames. Rather splendid then.
Campus Publications:
Simpkins

A magazine style publication named after the college's resident moggy. Plenty of chance to get involved if you fancy writing.
