Accommodation Details:
Much the same as any other colleges so see the main university guide. There is however an excellent pantry that serves out of this world cooked breakfasts.
Libraries:
A staggering 110 000 books in the one library.
Computing:
30 machines. Bring your own if you can.
Sports:
See main university guide for general facilities. The college is close to sports fields and does quite well.
Bars:
The Lindsay Bar is where its all at. It is situated under the JCR and has pool and table football. On the whole it's relaxed and unpretentious. They have a good range of beers and a guest ale every week. It was refurbished in Spring 2000 so its pretty swanky.
Functions:
There are various events in the JCR Norway Room and in the bar. The facilities are run entirely by students so there are some strange nights. Cheese rules, as you might expect.
Major Social Events:
There is a top notch summer event (not black tie) which is well organised and up to the standard of some university events.
Campus Publications:
John de Balliol

A hugely amusing name, well I think so anyway. This is a weekly newsheet with ents and local info. It is distributed in the loos.
