- Accommodation Details:
- Bretton Hall has three accomodation sites, these are Manygates, Bretton Hall Campus and The Lodge. Manygates is situated within a ten minute walk from Wakefield city centre and is based around a victorian villa in a two acre campus. Accomodation here is described as quality. There is a study area and social facilities as well as a students' union bar. This location also offers twelve purpose built disabled bedrooms.
Bretton Hall campus is a 500 acre estate accomodating just 150 students in single rooms. It has a library and IT facilities and an SU bar.
The Lodge is a small complex in the villiage of Kettlethorpe, which is four miles from the Bretton Hall campus and two miles from Manygates. It has 77 en-suite single rooms and special facilities for music and performance rehearsal. This makes it ideal for music and performance students.
Other accomodation can be found through the university managed private housing scheme.

- Libraries:
- Bretton Hall has the one big library on Bretton Campus, it's got loads of specialised stock for the Bretton courses as well as video editing suites, colour copiers, scanners and study areas. Some bookable on-line computers are available and some careers information. The university website offers a virtual tour of the premises for more detailed information. Leeds university facilities are now also available.

- Computing:
- Computers are available in the library and in some parts of campus. Facilities aren't all that good in this area at the moment but this is something in which Leeds University is investing a lot of money in the near future. Bretton Hall students can then hope to have better labs near to or inside their accomodation blocks. We wait expectantly...

- Sports:
- A Slightly embarrassing complete lack of sporting facilities which they are looking into rectifying. There is is a special arrangement with Wakefield leisure centre involving extremely cheap prices for students using their facilities. Clubs therefore go into Wakefield to train or even further to use Leeds uni facilities.

- Bars:
- There are just two bars at Bretton Hall. On the Bretton Hall campus is The Kennel Bar, so called as it used to house the dogs of the Wentworth Estate. Bad luck for the building then, as its previous occupants were probably more civilized. Gates Bar is on the Manygates campus in the basement of Manygates House. Gates Bar is only open until 11pm because it's in a residential area. After 11 students generally continue the fun in nearby Wakefield. The Kennel Bar is open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Fortunately, the very recent merger with Leeds University now means that more student facilities are available to Bretton Hall students on the Leeds campus.

- Functions:
- The university bars host karaoke, quiz nights, comedy and sometimes hypnotists as well as open mike nights when students can take to the stage for a bit of quality show off time. The Kennel Bar has a 300 person capacity upstairs in its club/disco room where dance and cheese events happen every friday.

- Major Social Events:
- There is a Summer Ball each year but little in the way of organised society dinners or anything else. The balls are now combined with Leeds uni and the last was hosted at Bretton. Huge event, massive.

Run and edited by the college's media officer, this magazine is available for students to discuss issues, gossip and generally have their say. It's nothing special but fortunately Leeds Student is now also available for Bretton Hall students to become involved in since the recent mereger.
Bretton Underground Magazine
(BUM) is just what it sounds like and may be the better platform for certain articles. No, not porn.
